Great location but could use an upgrade

“Friendly staff and comfortable bed. Rooms were really spacious and the location was perfect.”
Worth knowing: It is seeped in history but could use updating to modernize it. For example, the shower was a little challenging to use and generally the rooms could do with an upgrade like the curtains and carpets. I used the ironing board and iron and it was very old and the iron leaked and stained some of my clothes with limescale. For a hotel this central and this expensive (and for its star rating) I would have expected more, for example better quality towels and toilet tissue, better products (shower gel, shampoo and conditioner) and free amenities like toothpaste, sewing kit, razors etc.

Worth knowing: La habitación tiene una pequeña nevera pero no enfría entonces no entiendo para qué está para eso es mejor que no la pongan. Todo lo demás fenomenal

Worth knowing: The bed could have been a bit more comfortable. There was noise above the washroom that sounded like laundry facilities and phones or alarms ringing continuously.
