“The location of Tadrai is exceptional: beautiful sunrise in front of the hotel and sunset on top of the hill behind. Great spots for snorkling. The room is big with a beautiful bathroom. Dinners were good, the cook adapted to our demands (ask for the fish not to be too cooked) and the staff is overall very nice, we were welcomed and given farewell with local songs.”
Worth knowing: Although it is rated 5 stars, it is only worth 4 and is very expensive compared to similar locations in the rest of Fiji - what makes it 5 would be the exceptional location. For the rest, It is lacking the attention to details at all levels that makes the difference for this kind of spend. it was difficult to understand what were the activities we could do, and sometimes it felt like we were annoying the staff when asking something (for instance, stopping the country music to enjoy the sounds of the waves). This was not a general rule for everyone but again, 5 stars come through the details and attentions given to the guests. The picnique was really poor compared to what was offered at dinner - the chicken salad was more a mayonnaise chicken with a very small portion - and I do not eat much.

“Loved the island and the smallness of the resort being only five villas so not overcrowded and it gave you a chance to get to know other guests. The staff were amazing and so helpful and friendly. They were always there if you needed anything at all. Food was really nice and loved the fact that all food and drinks were included in the price so you didn't have to pay for anything extra (except massages) while you were there”
Worth knowing: There were a few minor issues in our room that were either rectified or didn't affect our stay. I think the rooms could do with a bit of maintenance as some things didn't work properly but with a bit of TLC would make the rooms even more inviting.

“Essen, Ausflüge, Service sowie der allgemeine Komfort war sensationell. Die Herzlichkeit aller Mitarbeiter ist auf höchstem Niveau, man fühlt sich sehr wohl und geborgen. Das Outdoor-Badezimmer ist nicht für jeden etwas, da es viel Geckos mit sich bringt, wir fanden es jedoch grossartig.”
Worth knowing: Die Cocktails werden nur von 17.00-19.00Uhr serviert, somit ist es nicht möglich als Nachtisch oder Schlummertrunk noch einen zu erhalten. Bier und Wein ist jedoch immer verfügbar. US Survival Team war an den Dreharbeiten einer neuen Staffel, somit waren viele Inseln und Gebiete für Touristen gesperrt.
Tadrai was Paradise. We were treated as family, not just guests.
