“It was our first time in Val Thorens and we were celebrating my husband's 35th birthday, we reserved this hotel expecting it to be amazing as it was 5 stars and not cheap at all. Usually at a 5v star hotel you have amazing customer service but in this case it was quite the opposite. Since it was nearly at the end of the season the hotel was greatly understaffed, the shuttles that were promised took forever to get to you or were always full. When talking to the staff about it they said that they were understaffed and rude. Val Thorens is quite walkable however since it was snowing most of the time we were there we had to freeze at night to walk back to the hotel after dinner. During our whole 10 day stay they changed our towels once, never cleaned and so we ended up even having to buy toilet paper ourselves because there was no one at the lobby ever. I understand it might've been the end of the season but that should not compromise the quality of your stay, if that's the service you will be giving then close the hotel completely. Definitely the worst 5 star hotel I have ever stayed at, we then stayed at Le Fitz Roy, also a 5 star hotel and it was INCREDIBLE - HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”

“Excellent family location. Beautiful, well equipped apartment with a stunning view of the mountains. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Small issue with toilet which was fixed within the hour. My only slight complaint would be that for 2 bathrooms there was only one toilet and the lift servicing the whole residence was slightly slow. The hotel terrace was a lovely place to unwind after a day’s skiing and the pool was excellent and rarely busy. Ski in ski out did involve a walk upstairs through the hotel and the run was quite challenging for beginners but this is not the hotel’s fault and mostly due to the end of season conditions when we went. The hotel shuttle service was also brilliant Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ”
