Nicko and Angela are the best of the best in their roles as host and care takers of this charming establishment The four course breakfast is an experience in itself. “The is an AMAZING and ANAZINGLY RUN boutique hotel. Ideally located at one of the gates of the old city in Rhodes, with an amazing atmosphere, comfortable rooms and the most fantastic team that makes Kokkini Porta Rosa the very emanation of a boutique hotel. Totally personalized (no, I seriously mean the most personalized experience we ever had in a hotel). The owners Nikos and Angela and Giulia are making sure you get the ultimate out of your stay on the island. They have literally gone every extra mile in any direction to make sure that we get the best possible experience for our stay. Nikos is a treasure of knowledge about the entire island, its history and heritage and all sorts of broader humanitarian and cultural knowledge - he takes time to understand their guests interests and truly knows which places will offer the ultimate experience for what you are looking for. He had provided golden recommendations from sightseeing, guides and excursions, to places to eat and enjoy ourselves. Never before in my long history of visiting hotels I have got such well curated suggestions and practically fully made itinerary. The truth is we didn't get just a room - we got extreme hospitality and curation of our stay. Angela, Nikos' wife and co-owner, is making sure we get pampered in all possible ways - from rich breakfast adapted to our personal preferences to just having a nice afternoon chats. Giulia is also there for you whether it's to provide efficient service or have a nice chat if you feel so. The whole feeling is that you are at home - if not yours by title deed at least at your very hospitable and polite hosts' home. And since the hospitality is so amazing, it's worth mentioning the very cozy rooms - ours was adjacent to the city wall and we had our own small yard.”
