“Best reception of any place we stayed in Italy. Highly professional staff. The pool and wellness was amazing. The rooms and dining area are incredible. Lovely treats in the room with bags, flip flops, biscuits and a pen knife as welcome gifts. Spectacular surroundings. Incredibly well maintained property. Definitely worth a visit.”

“The castle is located on a hill with beautiful view and a magnificent entry.”
Worth knowing: This air quality and overall indoor environment were such that we began experiencing significant allergy-like symptoms shortly after our arrival. There was a stale and musty smell throughout the rooms, reminiscent of an old museum. I appreciate the hotels effort to preserve the buildings historical atmosphere with old furniture, but it cannot come at the cost of a healthy indoor enviroment if it is marketed as a five-star hotel. We had to leave within three hours of arrival. We paid €2,460 for a two-night stay, with the reasonable expectation of receiving standard, comfort and quality associated with a five-star hotel. Unfortunately , our experience was the complete opposite. We did not get any refund of the €2,460 from the hotel. I choose the hotel because of the good reviews, so hopefully everyone reading this will not have to go through the same experince.

“Everything ia perfect and unique. I wouldn't expect different from a Relais & Chateau hotel. There is a museum inside the castle, and staff is extraordinary. It really makes you feel that you are back in centuries, with top quality service and gastronomy. Right choice for my wedding aniversary.”
