“East Indies Mansion is one of those rare places where you really feel that every detail matters. Perfectly located in the heart of Georgetown, just steps from Armenian Street, Chulia Street, and plenty of great restaurants and attractions. The mansion itself is a beautifully restored historic Chinese house. Each room is unique, decorated with elegant antique furniture, and kept immaculately clean. The linens and towels smell wonderfully fresh, and even the toiletries like soap, shampoo, and conditioner are of excellent quality. But above all, The staff truly made the stay exceptional. Everyone was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. During our stay, there was a small incident where a personal item of great importance to us was accidentally thrown away. The team went above and beyond to make it right and managed to find a replacement for us. That level of care and genuine kindness is something you’ll never forget. If we return to Penang, East Indies Mansion will absolutely be our first choice.”

“Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft - historisches Setting in Top-Lage. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar, das Personal immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mein Zimmer wurde sogar zweimal pro Tag gereinigt, der Aufenthalt war sehr entspannt.”
Worth knowing: Das Frühstück nimmt man am besten in einem der vielen Cafes oder Food Courts in unmittelbarer Nähe ein - tolle Auswahl. Falls dies von Interesse sein sollte: Die Zimmer haben kein TV, aber schnelles W-LAN ist vorhanden!
