“We recently spent five wonderful days at Anantara Veli Maldives, staying in a Beach Pool Villa, and the experience was truly amazing. As an adults-only resort, Anantara Veli is peaceful, relaxing and never felt overcrowded. Our villa gave us several swimming options: directly from the beach in front of the villa, in our private pool, or at the resort’s main pool. The Beach Pool Villa itself was clean, neat and very spacious. Before travelling, we had heard that insects can sometimes be an issue in beach villas, but we did not experience any problems during our stay. The bed was large and comfortable, and the Samsung TV allowed us to stream content easily from our phones and iPad. The villa’s layout was also excellent. There were separate indoor and outdoor showers, and the open-air shower was a particularly enjoyable experience. The dressing area and bathroom could be closed off individually, with doors separating the different sections and providing good privacy. The curtains blocked the sunlight effectively whenever we wanted to rest. The room also included an espresso machine, and the supply of drinking water was excellent. We drink a lot of water, but we never needed to request more because the team consistently provided three or four large bottles in the villa. One of the resort’s biggest advantages is having access to the neighbouring sister resort, which is only a short boat ride away. It genuinely feels like having two resorts in one. You can enjoy the restaurants, facilities and two different spas across both islands. Breakfast was excellent. You can choose between the buffet at the neighbouring island or an à la carte breakfast at Anantara Veli. Both were very good, although I personally preferred the buffet because of the wider variety. A special thank-you to Mr. Tamer, who kindly told us that if we wanted any Arabic dishes that were not available at the breakfast or dinner buffet, we could simply ask and he would arrange them for us.”
