“Good location and some of the staff were lovely, but overall this did not feel like a 4-star hotel. We paid extra for a late checkout, yet we were still woken up before the agreed checkout time, which was really disappointing. The room itself felt tired and poorly maintained. There was a stain on the carpet, a broken wardrobe, a broken blind rail, and only one blind with no curtains. The TV was also very outdated and didn’t support screen mirroring or Chromecast. For a hotel advertising itself as 4-star, I would expect a much better standard of room, maintenance and facilities. The location is definitely a plus and some staff were friendly, but based on the room and our overall experience, I don’t think the 4-star rating reflects the actual standard.”
