“The location is fabulous. Breakfast was included and was also fabulous, except the coffee. The bar and general area for meals was stunning. High ornate ceilings. Just beautiful.”
Worth knowing: The room was comfortable but it wasn’t easy to order room service, work the TV or find out anything. I also found the front reception a bit unenthusiastic. Meaning, they were a bit vague generally. And I found the music (Frank Sinatra) so loud in the bar and restaurant area. We stayed 3 nights so we had an afternoon drink every day. The music never changed and was so loud. It was awful.
I will always go to this hotel, if I’m lucky enough to go back to Bergen. So central to everything.

“Loved the Breakfast, so much variety and tasted wonderful. The staff were fabulous and helpful. Loved the atmosphere and everything about the restaurant and bar.”

“Location very central”
Worth knowing: Reception small , no lounge area at all in the hotel. We arrived early, around 9:30am but were unable to complete any check in formalities, I appreciate check in is 3pm but in other hotels we have done the formalities and just collected the room key later. Our luggage was left in reception area from when we checked out of our room (and not put in luggage store), at 11.30 until we left at 3pm.we just picked it up and walked out without question. Maitre d in restaurant was grumpy and abrupt. Not at all welcoming. Breakfast buffet was extensive but hot food was barely warm verging on cold. No option was offered to order anything like an omelette.
