“Location is very nice”
Worth knowing: Some outdoor furniture seemed worn out

“From the moment we arrived at Alila Hinu Bay, the atmosphere felt almost surreal. The vast open spaces, beautiful terraces, and the surrounding landscape were truly breathtaking. In fact, the whole Dhofar region felt unlike anywhere we had experienced before, and the hotel captured that feeling perfectly. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the lagoon, which felt incredibly natural, peaceful, and untouched. The hotel itself was very luxurious and beautifully designed, while still blending perfectly with its surroundings. Breakfast was excellent, and I actually loved that we had to walk through the hotel and its beautiful outdoor spaces to get there. It made even something as simple as going to breakfast part of the experience. The restaurant by the pool was fantastic, and the pool itself had an amazing view. Everything about the property created a very special sense of peace and isolation. The best way I can describe our stay is that it felt like we had traveled to another planet. At times, it genuinely felt as if this hotel were somewhere on Mars. remote, peaceful, surreal, and completely different from everyday life. We absolutely loved our stay. It gave us a feeling that is difficult to put into words, and it became one of those travel experiences that stays with you long after you leave”

“الهدوء الإفطار الصباحي تدفئة المسبح”
Worth knowing: عدم اضاءة الممرات بشكل كافي اتساخ السجاد وتغير لونه وكذلك الاثاث الداخلي عم توفر شاشة ذكية تدعم التطبيقات بعد المنتجع عن الخدمات
Not worth the hassle.. Please avoid!

“The staff were absolutely lovely; warm, kind, and always willing to engage in conversation. They tried their best. Honestly, that was the one single redeeming factor when it came to my experience. There was also 3-4 cool classes/experiences lined up every day, free of charge. We joined the Hibiscus tea class and the Omani bread-making class.”
Worth knowing: First con was the location; it's in the middle of nowhere, and at least 45 min drive from any major tourist landmark but we were already aware of this and didn't mind as we were there mainly to enjoy the resort and relax; BIG MISTAKE. First disappointment - you can't get around on the actual place without calling reception to ask for a golfcart. It takes them on average 15 minutes to get to you, that's if the front desk pick up (they were quite busy/understaffed?). You also can't hog a cart and have them wait for you as you're about to finish your meal, so that's about at least 20-30 minutes total just hanging around waiting for a golfcart any time you leave your room. Another huge downside was the lack of culinary options. Two restaurants with sparse menus, no extra a la carte dishes for room service. I read a review here of someone making the same comment, and management responded saying they need to keep in mind the amount of food that needs to be prepared and make sure little is wasted; what an unacceptable response. A decent resort should be capable of catering adequately for small numbers of guests while still managing food waste responsibly. Poor planning should not come at the expense of the guest experience. The worst, however, was the lack of cleanliness of the resort. The room overwhelmingly musty, some "clean" towels were stained yellow, a hand towel/wash cloth had a smudge of something brown on it, countless dead bugs on surfaces that remained there for days on end, some of the beige pool loungers were stained with outlines of trays and god knows what, cutlery and classware was constantly crustly/had food remains (this happened around 8-10 times), dirty napkins.. That's just off the top of my head. The lack of hygiene was appalling. We would call room service and request for food trays to be removed, come back at the end of the day to the trays still there and the room stinking of stale ketchup.
