“While the service from the lobby and restaurant staff was everything you’d expect from a hotel claiming to be five stars, there were a couple of things that left my husband and I scratching our heads. The layout and design of the room was generally just really awkward- the shower was a tiny little corner with a rain shower head so you were uncomfortably pressed to the glass the whole time if you wanted to breathe. The toilet wedged in the other corner behind a protrusion from the wall on one side. Unless you have an android, you cant connect your steaming account to the “smart” tv. The housekeeping staff frustrated us a lot as well. The morning after we came home at 4am after attending a wedding they continued to knock and ring the doorbell and in general they’d enter our room and replace our linen. This was all while the little “going green” card hung on our door. And worse of all the AC broke on the second night so we were so hot at night (it being the beginning of autumn so it was too cold to open the windows anymore). They’re generally small details of course, but if you’re claiming to be a five star hotel and charging like one they have to be in order. Again, staff was great and it’s clean.”
