“Good island escape. Very good transport facilities on and off and also inside resort. Very nice staff. Superb spa massage, good gym. Breakfast was ok. Other food options quite good considering off season period. Great pool at villa. Extremely quiet and lovely place in nature.”
Worth knowing: We went for a Japanese sushi dinner and the sushi was not that fresh. Maybe because it was off season and the main Japanese restaurant was closed.

“We started our stay at Barcelo Coconut Island on the 6th of September, and it was an absolute privilege to be here from the moment we checked in to the day we checked out. I will start off with a word of advise to any guests looking to stay here- GET THE ALL INCLUSIVE! Barcelo's facilities, Decor and overall atmosphere is spectacular. Amenities: FOOD & DRINK: Barcelo offers 3 restaurants and a cocktail bar. Our experience at Kusina (Italian Resturant) was good. Their food is fresh, tasty and quick! Kabang was by far our favorite, they have a larger selection of meals, multiple menues, great drinks and the views are stunning. Laku beach club left somethings to be desired, but for what seems to be a new concept, it was comfortable. Unfortunately, although Naga Cocktail states open 24hrs on the app, it was closed in the late evenings. So we didnt get to experience it. But it looked lovely. The biggest praise I can give the restaurants is the service. The staff are amazing! They are incredibly, helpful and speedy. All our food and drinks were delivered in under 20 minutes consistently and always with a smile. A special thank you to Kampoo, Nui and Pink for looking after us everyday. SHUTTLE BOAT: The water taxi from the island to the mainland was efficient, timely and very useful. We were able to book the boat via the app. The app in its self was amazing! Having all the access to the resort information without having to go to the reception was top tier. ROOMS: The rooms are well Kitted out, with everything one could need. Full sized toiletries, ample towels, TV, well stocked mini bar (which is included in the all inclusive), lots of mirrors and beautiful views. To close off: This place is amazing! The smallest details are well thought out and the service is to die for. I would recommend this place to anybody! Just be prepared to spend a pretty penny if you are not looking to leave the island or get the all inclusive band.”
Worth knowing: ACTIVITIES AND SPA: I Unfortunately didnt go on any of the paid excursions or visit the spa, purely due to the pricing of the services. Most services and activities were upwards of 2500thb per person. This is 3 x as much as, sometimes more than, what is charged on the mainland. I really could not justify spending the money. This is really unfortunate, I think he hotel could benefit from relooking at their pricing or adding special deals for couples/families. I would've loved to stay on the island over my whole trip. WATER SPORTS: The resort offers water sports in the form of Kayaks and paddle boards. I think there is an opportunity to offer more here. Some tubing or jet skiing would be amazing! I would definitely pay to be dragged around this beautiful shore line. Some of the areas that would be improved are: - The air-conditioning: unfortunately our aircon was very finicky and would not let us change settings or temperature easily. - The Bidets: I love a Bidet! But these were just too powerful that it was quite painful to use and difficult to control pressure. - The Bins provided: the hotel asks that we do not flush toilet paper into the systems. I think providing a bin with a lid would be ideal. Especially for those of us on Honeymoon, used tissue is just not sexy.

Worth knowing: Ik ben 1 keer ziek geworden van het eten. Het tweede deel van het strand en het eerste deel van de zee bestaat alleen uit slik. Dat is echt onprettig. De zee is heel troebel. Geen snorkel omstandigheden
