“A great place to scape away from the busy life. We enjoyed it a lot and the food is excellent. Children will enjoy it a lot. Pools were lovely and the animals area is super.”
Disappointing food and attention to detail. Lovely property

“Our third stay - and whilst the hotel is undeniably one of our favourite breaks outside the city - the food remains disappointing and really just doesn't meet minimum expectations for anywhere of this calibre, and is particularly surprising given its association with the Wellesley where we have stayed a handful of times. I think given the cost of a stay here, the wine list could do with some serious refinement with far better by the glass options, alongside a far more interesting list of champagnes. Very run of the mill and disappointing from that respect although we were delighted to see upgraded facilities for children and look forward to bringing our daughter when she's old enough. Little touches really matter in an establishment like this - the quality of bread, home made ice creams, freshly squeezed orange juice - it all goes a long way and frankly is what one comes to expect when paying £1,000+ for a night's stay. All of the food we had was cooked sous-vide and not finished - which resulted in slimey fish, badly cooked vegetables, and rubberized chicken - all easily rectified. Tripple cooked chips were oven cooked and from a bag, as were the roast potatoes - I've had better at Toby's Carvery! Spa facilities terrific - and recommended.”

“I wanted to treat my two daughters to a little trip away as they have just returned from University and I couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot. From the minute we arrived the service was impeccable, the lovely gentleman who checked us in was so warm and friendly and even though it was only midday showed us to our beautiful junior suit which comfortably slept the three of us. The property is immaculate, we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather and the outdoor pool is beautiful with a cute little bar and comfortable beds. My daughters had treatments which they both said were exceptional and the spa itself is stunning. We had lunch and dinner and cocktails and all were delicious. The beds are insanely comfortable. This is very much a beautiful five star hotel which in itself would be fabulous but what makes it above many others is the staff. The service is impeccable, without being stuffy and you instantly feel relaxed and at home. We are off to another hotel now and I’m regretting not staying another night, or two!”
