The stay was good but could have been better

“Large Rooms very spacious.”
Worth knowing: We had to change rooms as the one allocated was not up to standard. The Room was very hot even though there was a fan provided. The Duvet's are for winter and not summer

“Location in Harrogate very central. White company toiletries in bathroom Clean and housekeeping were amazing, servicing rooms everyday View over the park from room on level 1”
Worth knowing: Very dark and dingy hotel. Everything painted shades of dark grey. Very oppressive. Noise - was a particular issue, one evening gone 11 and we had to go down to receptions and ask for the bar staff to turn music down as they turned it up. Reception were very blaze, they actually told us they had finished shift and turned music up. This happened on various evening. Noise loudest after 11.
Lovely hotel, great staff. A questionable policy.

“Central location was great. Food was good. Bed was comfortable. Everywhere was clean.”
Worth knowing: No covering on the bathroom window. With the light on it felt very uncomfortable. Booking.com have breakfast listed as £13.95 available at the property but we were charged an extra £2 per person as we didn’t book breakfast in advance. This is not great customer service.

“Great location and room was clean and spacious enough”
Worth knowing: Reception staff were very unwelcoming and unfriendly. Three staff behind the desk ignored us when we arrived to check in, all busy looking at computers. When we were told that we need to take the stairs to get to our room we weren’t asked if we needed help with our luggage etc. On check out, the same thing smile or thanks for staying or was everything okay etc.
