“The water fountain and decor at the front entrance were nice. They definitely represented Alaska. People at the front desk were very friendly and a pleasure to work with. Bartender at happy hour and chef for morning breakfast. We’re always nice as well. Honestly, it was the happy hour and the breakfast that made the steak tolerable”
Worth knowing: Reservation was messed up. I had told the lady on the phone I needed a reservation through Friday and it was booked through Thursday. When I tried to extend a day, I was being charged over $200 more for that day than I was the other days. We packed our bags and left. For two full days, there was trash left outside of two of the hotel rooms on our floor. I actually took pictures so that there were date stamped to show that I wasn’t making this up. Online description said there was a hot tub. Yes there was a hot tub, but they neglected to say that it wasn’t working! Huge loss!!!!! For the money that we pay daily, it’s a shame that I had to ask for service every day. I don’t expect somebody to come clean the entire room during our stay, but at least make the bed and make sure we have clean towels. For a Hilton, this should be bare minimum.

“We used this hotel as a base for our travels to different national parks in Alaska. It worked really well. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and the hotel lobby and public areas are well maintained. The hotel is within walking distance of grocery stores and a few fast food restaurants.”
