“Location was perfect , it was in town where I needed to be . I had the view of the road looking at the mountains and the highway and it was still dreamy at night . Overall the location and the view made it worth it .”
Worth knowing: The room that I had was ok itself , the lighting could have been better but the main issue I had was in the bathroom , when we checked in the room in the bathroom had this orange stain , it looked like it leaked from the vent onto the counter . And the bathroom door when closed was kinda hard to close.

“The location is fantastic. The views over the ocean & the mountains are excellent. The staff were, with 1 or 2 exceptions, brilliant. The rooms were well kept and comfortable and with great views from the Partial Ocean View room we stayed in. We also had views of the mountains. Royal Kona is within easy walking distance of the shopping strip and restaurants. The luau was excellent. All in all, a very good place to stay.”
Worth knowing: The menu in the on-site restaurant was a bit limited, especially for people with dietary restrictions. It's a 20 to 30 minute walk to the main beach, so that's a bit of a negative. The lack of a kettle was a bit of a surprise. Tea could be brewed in the coffee maker but the water had to be heated in the microwave to reach the required temperature. That said, it's a small thing & didn't spoil the stay. The place could do with a bit of a spruce up as it is starting to look a bit dated.
