Great place to stay for an overnight when you want to have a staycation at the Plaza. I would not recommend it for long-

“Property is on a great location in the plaza. There is a sophisticated feel about the premises. The beds are extremely comfortable and the shower/bathroom is terrific. I also wanna comment that the woman that served us at the pool bar was one of the best servers I’ve ever had.”
Worth knowing: I was there to celebrate my daughter-in-law‘s 30th birthday. There was a lot of loud laughter and comments in the hallway on all three nights we were there. Additionally, there was a strong smell of marijuana smoke in the later part of the evening, all three nights. The valet service is very slow and lack personality. The pool is too warm… Granted it’s been very warm in Kansas City, but there should be cold water pumped in in the evenings to keep the temperature refreshing. The pool is too small for the volume of gas that are there.

“Had a lovely couples stay here for my first visit to Kansas City. Situated along a creek that seems to separate the primary city portion with various chain stores from what appeared to be an expensive neighborhood on the hillside, it was on the edge of town enough that the building and area were very quiet. Check-in was quick and friendly, there was always someone at the door to let us in and other concert-goers, and we found the area to be very walkable. Beautiful room and view! Quiet and comfortable. We had dinner on the top floor one evening, and while the food was just okay, the sun setting behind the neighboring hill made for a spectacular setting.”
