A unique and characterful place to stay

“The central location and character of the building. The inn was furnished in keeping with the architecture and staff were helpful and friendly..We also enjoyed the roof terrace”
Worth knowing: We had difficulty getting a cup of tea on arrival because the complimentary hot water machine had run out of water and there were no mugs or saucers for cups available. We were disappointed not to be able to have a meal in the main dining room on either of the nights we stayed .
Good location, great facilities and comfortable but room could have a few improvements.

“Great facilities. Lovely lounge, great breakfast.”
Worth knowing: 1) flight of steps to front entrance difficult with suitcases. 2) room was quite tight for two people. E.g. one side of bed had no side table or light as not enough room. 3) had a fridge in the room that seemed a bit unnecessary, but no tea or coffee making facilities. Fridge was noisy every few minutes through the night. Had to unplug it in the end.hood

Worth knowing: Parking was off site, slightly musty smell in lower level.
